  1. Thank you everyone. I agree the rear needs to be open, just didn't really understand how major the impact would be phonics wise. Agree that a bookshelf speaker would make more sense given it's already fully enclosed Thank you!!
  2. Hi All, this forum is the best! Love all the posts and professional opinions on here. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on mounting of the AL5's on a shelf (at around listening height) where the shelves were essentially cabinetary with lots of vinyl/records/plants etc within the cabinets. The speakers would essentially be encase in cabinetary and would be about 12" away from the the rear wall. Listening distance from them would be about 5-10 feet. Fidelity doesn't need to be "super" hi-fi, but it would nice for them to not sound muffled or too damp. Any thoughts? See image below as an example of what the cabinets may look like. Thank you ! Any advice would be very helpful.
