I lucked out and got a Klipsch KP-301 used for a few hundred bucks ! Since I have 2 Cornwalls, I figured it would be easier to build a 3rd as my center channel rather than buy a pair and store one (this is my first quasi-build). The components are identical to the CW + Chorus 2 but rated for 400w.
I plan on mounting drivers from the front as well!
My friend is helping me build these since I’m awful at woodcraft and I need to know the following:
1. Is the woofer on the Corns flush mounted or sunken/recessed?
2. Do the midrange and tweeter horns protrudes or are they sunked/recessed for a flat face?
3. How thick is the grill frame?
4. Below are the plans I’m utilizing. If we cut a hole per the specs, how much of a recessed edge do we need for each component?
Any and all help is very appreciated and I’m stoked to show you guys how it turns out!
