  1. Hi guys, I'm stuck trying to decide on what receiver I want. I'm looking at the Yamaha RX-V750 and the HK AVR335. There are things about each of them that I like more. For instance I really like the two zone capability with the yamaha, the HK is more pleasing on the eyes, says my wife. I've listened to both side by side and still can't decide. I'm just starting a small home theater system. I will be putting together consisting of 4 RSX5's, RCX4, and probably an RW10. Considering this setup which receiver would you recommend? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  2. Does the HK have enough power to push all the speakers efficiently though? It would be nice to have something with video switching too. Here's what I plan to hook up to the receiver HDTV DVR cable box (component cables) 34" Sony HDTV (component cables) DVD player (component cables) VCR (composite cables) Xbox (component or S-Video) This is my first home theater system, so I'm not 100% sure how I need to hook this up and what type of cables I should get. I guess Monster cable is the best way to go?
  3. Hi all, Santa brought me some new RSX-5's for Christmas in hopes that I would build a home theater system. Right now all I have are these two RSX-5's. Have to start somewhere right? My plan is to purchase the RCX-4 for the center and another set of RSX-5's for the rear surround also the rw12 for sub. This will be a work in progress, but hopefully over a short amount of time I'll have everything. I have a very old receiver that I would like to replace at this time first and fore most. Can you recommend what a good receiver would be? Something that will work now and as I add the other speakers. I don't need anything over the top with a bunch of bells and whistles that I'll never end up using. Just something that will give me good all around movie, sports, etc. watching. I would like it to be easy to set up with my HDTV DVR cable box and my Sony 34" HDTV. Mostly I would like the basic functions of the receiver easy to use so my wife and 8 yo son can handle it with ease. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance! Jamie
  4. Thanks a lot for the reply Keith! I had a roommate in college that had the KSP300's and I absolutely fell in love with them. I'm actually the one that talked him into getting them. I've been a Klipsch fan for over 15 years and will always be one. I'd like to find a set of those for my home, but I'm not in any rush for it. My biggest problem at this point is deciding what and if I should get surrounds and center channel now with my KG4.2's. I'd like to get what I need for the future now instead of what might be the best solution for now. If I'm unable to find the KSP's then I will most likely get the RP5's. I just purchased a 55" Mitsubishi television and now I'm wanting to complete the room. Thank you much for the recommendation. It's much appreciated! I'm in Minnesota and the only decent Klipsch dealer around here is Audio King which I will not offer my business to due to past experiences. I know there are others around, but I just need to find them. Thanks again! Have a great holiday season! James
  5. Hi, I had a roommate in college that had these speakers and I absolutely loved them. I now want a set of these but because they are out of production I can't seem to find any. If you guys would happen to know where I could find a set, new or used please let me know. I want to set up a home theater around these so will probably want the matching center and surrounds too, maybe even first. I now have KG4.2 that I've had for nearly 10 years, but I think it's time to upgrade. Thanks for your help guys!! JKd740
