  1. Well I have a marantz SR6300 which I know many have compared the sound to almost tubelike and very muscial so I would assume this would probably be better than the Yamaha wouldn't it? also does the rf-3 sound more like the less compressed rb-5 or the rb-3. Thanks again.
  2. I recently went out to audition speakers at one of my local dealers. They carry Klipsch, & Paradigm among others. Unfortunately they did not have the rb-5 in stock only the three, I compared the 3 to the studio 20. I have to say I was less than impressed in certain areas. The store only stocks yamaha receivers and I have heard that they are a less than ideal match for klipsch. The audition cd I used was Metallica S&M, one of my personal favorites. The song that really bothered me was until it sleeps, on the digms it sounded flat and smooth the rb-3 seemed to be off somewhere in the midrange or midbass, like it was really bloated. My question is if the rb-5 improves this area over the 3 and also could the yamaha be the culprit here. I have a marantz which I know is way different sounding than the yamaha. thanks in advance.
  3. My budget for receiver is $500-550, so separates are out of the question unfortunately. Any other possibilities I might be missing in this budget. Btw, buying used is not an issue for me if that allows me better options.
  4. Need help picking out one of these receivers, I'm going to purchase a klipsch setup consisting of the rf,rb, and rc-35. I'm looking to match these with a warm receiver. Possibilities are Marantz 6300, kenwood 6070, sony str-da2es, harman kardon 520, and pioneer elite 41. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
  5. Hi guys, I'm looking at getting some kind of synergy 5.1 setup going. I'm going to be be adding the sc-1 center channel and either the ksw12 or rsw10 sub later on. My question is what would be the benefits of going with each of these kind of setups for now. I'm either thinking of going with 4 sb-3's or 2 sf-1's in the front & 2 sb-3's in the rear. Thanks in advance.
