Well,
i went to audition the RSW12 & 15 side by side and MAN the 15 is a stronger effect, in music they both sounded the same except the 15 went lower on occcasion. I never heard an SVS, but i emailed them and Tom emailed me back FAST everytime. I was mentioning to him that the BASS in my car is SADISTIC, friends jump in my car and say "Hey let me hear your system", i crank it up and they are immediately either jumping out off the car or grasping for the volume button, it feels like it takes your breath away. The bass is like a sledgehammer effect. I know its overkill but i started small and ended up spening a ton of money. Now i have ventured into the home theater realm. Well here is the response from Tom from SVS below:
Hi Luis,
Under $1000 I would go with our 20-39PC+ subwoofer for this system.
Strong output down to the 15hz range(in 16hz extension mode) and
109-115dBs of clean output across the board...I think this would
compare
very favorably to a rsw15. In the $1500 range, dual 25-31PC+ or dual
20-39PC+ subs would be my choice. The same as above...but with an
additional 6dB output capability. This would provide enough clean bass
that your Klipsch speaker would *give up* before the bass did.. If
you wanted true state of the art bass performance...the
B4-supersubwoofer could be considered? It costs $2499 passive though.
However add a $299 QSC850 to it and you'll have about the same
performance as three Ultras(or add 3dB to the output readings the dual
Ultras got in the Brian Weatherhead review). In other words...instead
of
9dB more output than the HGS18 down low...you could expect about 12dB
more output....or it would take four $3000 HGS18s to match the deep
bass
output of the B4 with the rmx850. This subwoofer will make your car
bass
seem tame...you'll be able to generate >130dBs in room with no
problem...
