  1. Do the 4.1s have as many problems as the 5.1s? I'm getting antsy and want to get some new speakers soon.
  2. can i connect either my 2.1 or (if i upgrade) 4.1s to my television's audio inputs? how would i go about doing that? if the 4.1s could and the 2.1s couldn't, i'd definitely buy the 4.1s. do i need a digital decoder or whatever?
  3. one more thing: can i connect either my 2.1 or (possibly) 4.1s to my television's audio inputs? how would i go about doing that? if the 4.1s could and the 2.1s couldn't, that would DEFINITELY influence my decision.
  4. hot damn, three fast replies, at 4am EST? cripes. anyway, i really dig my friend's 4.1s. surround sound rocks, but i don't think i'd listen to cds with four sats playing. i'd only like 2 channels going for music. ARG what to do??? i figured out that it will only cost me about $70 for new 4.1s with a 4 year warranty on them, after the difference on the 2.1s (which are only 6 weeks old and working like new) which i would sell on ebay. then there are those $90 stands from klipsch... crap.
  5. Now i've heard everything. The 2.1s are louder than the 4.1s? I'm not really down with "louder is better," so what the heck. I'm very satisfied with my 2.1s, but i only have the one year warranty, and i was thinking that buying the 4.1s with a 4 year warranty (and selling the 2.1s) would be a good deal. Also, i'm thinking of ditching my desktop for a laptop, so there goes my santa cruz. Any thoughts? This is a big decision for me.
  6. I have 2.1's right now, and i'd like some sort of surround sound going on while i'm watching DVDs, so i'm looking at the 4.1 deal on circuit city. When i go home for spring break, i want to bring my speakers home so i can enjoy some decent sound, but i don't need all four sats at home. Can you plug in only the front sats and still listen to the 4.1s (effectively making it a 2.1 system), or do you have to have all four sats plugged in?
