  1. I picked up my new pair of RF-7s yesterday. It took the place of my RF5s which I sold to a friend. After unpacking and connecting the beasts, I immediately run the Auto-Calibration feature of my 45TX receiver. However, this is what I found on the Channel Level of my receiver settings (after auto-calibration): On my previous RF5s (L/R): -5db RC7 : -3db On my new RF7s (L/R) : -4db RC7 : -3db Why? Isn't it should be the opposite? I am not changing speaker location. Due increase sensitity of the RF7s, I expected -6 or -7. If at -4db, I expected the RC7 to be adjusted to a higher level (-1 or 0). Or, maybe my Pioneer 45tx is screwed up???
  2. Currently, I have RF-5s, RC-7, RS-7s and RSW-15. Will upgrading from RF-5 to RF-7 make sense? Will any sonic difference justify the extra cost? I surely appreciate any input.
  3. Scott, My main speakers (RF-5s) are pointing straight out and they are about 10 ft. apart. The same problem is true when playing movies. Currently, I override the main speaker setup to play a bit louder than what was setup by the receiver. I can hear much better improvement. I don't know if I am doing the right thing. Jin
  4. I just purchase a new Pioneer 45tx receiver. After using it's auto speaker-calibration feature, it seems to me that my center channel sounds much louder compared to my main speakers when playing music in pro-logic 2 mode. I can hear as if all the music comes from the center channel. Is this right? Should I really trust the receiver to do the calibration?
  5. I currently have RF5,RC7,SS1,RSW-15 speakers/sub and Kenwood VR-4080B receiver. I plan to upgrade my receiver to HK AVR-525 or Denon 3803 or 4802. Will any of these receivers give me any significant improvement (if any) in sound? Is it worth the money?
