  1. Ok, need some help here cause I'm confused and anxious to get it up and running. Here is my current equipment: Mitsubishi 46809 WideScreen Projection TV Mitsubishi DD-6020 Progressive Scan DVD player Motorola Digital Cable Box I just purchased the following: Denon 2803 AV Surround Receiver Mitsubishi HS-U778 SVHS Player Klipsch Synergy SC-1 Center Speaker Klipsch Synergy SF-1 Fronts Klipsch Synergy SS.5 Rears Klipsch Synergy KSW-10 Sub Woofer I have the speakers all wired and the tuner sounds great. What I'm not sure about is what to do with all the rest of the components. Keep in mind, my wife needs to be able to use this thing so it needs to be simple. I don't care so much about running the video through the thing. And above and beyond that, it's too late for me to figure it out. So trying to think of what my wife is going to ask and complain about. So basically it comes down to being able to either hear the audio through the SS system or through the TV. That way if she gets confused, she can just turn the receiver off.
  2. No idea what the code is and I don't plan on running any wire through it until after I move in. I'm in Oklahoma in case anyone knows the code. What about RG6 coax or Cat5 cable?
  3. I'm building a house,, have already purchased my Klipsch speakers and have to do my wiring this weekend for my home theater system and whole house audio system. Question I have is now that the electrical wiring is done in the house, I am concerned about crossing the electrical wires with the speaker wires. In most cases, I have to go past the electrical wires for the outlet boxes I am installing. Now then, I am putting in conduit and then will run my wires later. So my question is with having to cross the electrical wires, am I better off with metal conduit or will the PVC conduit be sufficient?
  4. Let me ask a different question that may solve my wiring under the wood floor issue. Here is a layout of what the room will look like. It is a 17'x17' room. http://www.boringgames.com/images/image2.jpg The red boxes are the speakers in question. I will be using either SS-1 or SS-.5s based on my limited budget. Here are my three options in order of preference: 1. Mount the SS-1 up about 7 feet off the floor above the door. Don't know how this will affect the sound compared to the below options. Would they need to be angled down? 2. Place the SS-1s on stands against the walls next to the fireplace and door in from the kitchen. 3. place them a little behind and and to the side of the couch. What do you guys think?
  5. Anyone have any experience with the below product or know of a similar product? http://secure.decorp.com/index.php?section=category&category_id=7&expand_category=3 I have to run wires under a wood floor to the center of a room and feel this is the easiest to deal with versus cutting channels in the concrete or dealing with the installer to let me put channels in the wood. And no, I have not had a conversation to see if a plywood subfloor is put in first...
