  1. My Onkyo TX-NR7100 is an excellent receiver, unfortunately there is a bug in the current NR7100/RZ50 firmware. With a 5.0 or other layouts without subwoofer, the subwoofer signal is sent to the front speakers without Dirac Live correction. That means a boomy room is corrected only in Stereo listening mode. A provisional workaround is to turn the LFE signal off and set center and surround speakers to full range. Details can be found here: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/built-in-dirac-live-having-an-issue.3291069/ I hope Onkyo can address this issue in a firmware update. So far, attempts to contact Onkyo have been fruitless. I feel they are in the progress of rebooting, emails either cannot be delivered or you are fenced off. Especially no good experience with https://support.onkyousa.com/hc/en-us/requests There you talk to a chatbot, the ticket gets closed without resolving or escalating it. I hope "Zenbot-style" is not the future of customer service. Dirac Live problem with 5.0 layout #5742637 days ago3 days ago solved Dirac and listening modes #56611023 days ago19 days ago solved
  2. I just upgraded from my Onkyo RZ820 receiver that I hated to a Lexicon MC-10 and this is my first experience with Dirac Live and its really not easy if you don't know much about this stuff. I can play with an EQ all day and get it sounding like I want but this is over my head. I can learn some if it online but from what in seeing it'll take me a month to gain enough knowledge to do this myself and the local shop is booked until September due to covid. So...for anyone that was in my position and had trouble getting it setup, is there an online tutorial that helped you from a newb to understand it to the point you have it setup yojrself? I've looked at many videos and they're garbage and don't explain anything. If not, anyone want a job setting mine up?
