cbish
Ok...this may be a repeat but here goes. I have an iGroove HG. My wife has an iTouch 2G. The iGroove will not charge the iTouch. Is this an issue with the iGroove or the iTouch. Any thoughts on how to fix? Thanks in advance!
Moderators Amy Posted December 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2008 The iPod touch 2nd gen uses a different voltage to charge, and is not compatible with the older HG. Unfortunately, there is no fix that I am aware of.
oldcelt1
Hi. Slightly worried after reading this. I've recently bought an IGroove (Model number 1001092). At the moment I have a 1st generation ipod touch but will probably upgrade at some time to a 2nd generation, or later if available by then. Will it still play and charge on the iGroove? If not it seems rather a waste of money.
Moderators Amy Posted December 8, 2008 Moderators Share Posted December 8, 2008 The 2nd gen iTouch will not charge on the iGroove because of the voltage change that Apple made with the new iPods. I realize this is an inconvenience, but there was nothing we could have done to forsee or prevent it. The next version of the iGroove products will be compatible with all the current models (until Apple changes them again!). I apologize for the trouble. --Amy
