seaneys
Hello, I'm setting up a home theatre. I really want to use in-wall speakers to conserve space and protect the speakers from the kids. I was planning on using R-5650-W's for my front left and right speakers. I recently ran across information on the R-5650-S. They sound interesting, but I can not find a local place ot listen to to the R-5650-S. Should I consider the 'S' series? The rear speakers are 5800's. The center will probably be a RC62. I have not decided on the sub yet... But it will not be an in-wall speaker. Thanks, Steve
colterphoto1
5650 S is a fantastic side surround speaker.Or rear surround if rear wall is closer than say 5 feet from your listening position. Why use 5650's all around but the bigger brother for rears? If I had two 5800 they'd be main L and R. RC62 is a good match if you want to use a cabinet speaker for center. Good call on the non-in-wall sub.
seaneys
Okay...We have our addition to the point I went ahead and purchased the following at a sale this weekend (first time I have seen Klpisch on sale at an authorized dealer): R5800S (front LR), R5650S (rear LR), and and RC-64 for the center. My room did not allow me to locate the speaker 5650's on the sides and Idid not want to put them in the celing (bedrooms above). I gotta say the sound of the RC64 knocked my socks off at the dealer. Any ideas what sub I should be thinking about. I used to play the tuba.... Thanks, Steve
