michellealeb
I got an iGroove sxt from my wonderful boyfriend for Christmas 2007. He's a sound guy, so he knows what sounds good. I loved the way this little thing filled my living room with sound! A year and a half later, the remote doesn't work, and the volume level is STUCK at one volume. It won't go up or down, it just stays at a normal level. I barely use this thing. Even when I moved, I put it back in the box with the original packaging, so I know it didn't get banged around. I know it was working fine after I unpacked my new place, so somehow, somewhere, it just decided to quit working properly. I discovered this on May 24 when I went to set this up in the kitchen for our cookout. I called tech support about this last week. I was informed that it will be cheaper to buy a new one than it will be to fix it. I was even directed to Best Buy, who has them on sale right now! Helpful, but not feasible. I am a college student and work part-time. I live on an extremely limited budget. I don't know that I'll want to be buying things that break so quickly. Plus, the guy told me that products are designed to be cheaper to replace than to repair. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Maybe it'll be helpful to shoppers, or maybe the designers can figure out what's wrong and correct the problem for future models.
sjl777
My remote stopped working this morning. Everything else is working fine. Go figure.
econnor
My iGroove was two months out of warranty and the volume controls stopped working. all other controls work (on the remote and the unit itself) I was told by the store I bought it at that they could not fix it. Waiting to hear from Tech support.
