htown_ag
Where should I position my in-wall speakers? In the ceiling (12 feet) or in the wall for best sound. I plan on getting the SCW-3 so I can get more bass.Textc>
HornEd
Unless your putting a PA system through the house... the wall is the best place for architectural speakers. The foremost living authority on acoustics and psychoacoustics, Floyd E. Toole, Ph.D., has one pet peeve in this business... people who mount fidelity oriented speakers in the ceiling. Although, Klipsch alleviates the negatives somewhat by putting in a moveable tweeter. Put them in the walls and aim the tweeter at where your head will be in the sweet spot. (For side-surrounds, they should be facing each other on opposite walls with the tweeter aimed about a foot behind and a foot above where your head would be in the sweet spot). -HornED ------------------ Photo update soon! -HornEd
