Counterfeit Image X10i 'phones?

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help. I bought some Image X10i earphones from J&R Electronics
in NYC while on holiday this year. I bought them for a very, very good price
($220 before tax),significantly cheaper than I have seen them advertised
elsewhere. While the earphones provide excellent performance, I'm
concerned that I may have been sold counterfeit goods (the price
concerns me, and the fact that J&R is not listed as an authorised
Klipsch dealer on the Klipsch website). Can you advise me of whether there is any
way to confirm whether the earphones I bought are genuine (as far as I
know, the earphones do not have a serial number)? J&R seem to be a reputable dealer, so I think the earphones are the real deal. Has anybody else bought these 'phones from J&R? If so, how much did you pay?

Many thanks

Hi Indian

Thanks for the reply. They do indeed sound very good, but quite different to the pair of Grado SR80i headphones I also own. The top end of the Grados is more pronounced, which initially left me slightly underwhelmed by the X10is. However, over time I've come to appreciate that they both sound good, just different to one another.

Do you know if there is a conclusive way of determining that the X10is are genuine? The price I got them for just seems too good to be true!

Best wishes
