S4 Image - is it fake?

Yesterday i got the S4 Image I've ordered from eBay. Since I already had one pair (which I really liked and unfortunately lost it), I have some idea of how it's supposed to look and how the sound supposed to be like.

The problem is that I have a suspicion that it's fake, after I did a short research on the internet, but even though I do know how it should sound, I can't say for sure that this is not it, because the sound is quite good, and without the possibility to compare a genuine pair to this I really don't know. I mean, if it is a fake, then it's quite a good one.

These are the reasons why I suspect it's a fake:

1. The case is shinier than I remember of the last pair I had. I've seen on the internet a picture of comparison between the fake case and the real one, and I'm not sure but it seems to me more like the fake one.

2. It's a blue box, the plug is L-shaped, and there is that cleaning tool. From what I could understand, at the time that Klipsch had started to sell it in the blue box they already had excluded the cleaning tool from it, and the plug became straight. Is it correct?

3. There are 4 oval tips, one on the headphones themselves and 3 more in a small bag. In addition, the oval tips seem like they're from lower quality than I remember, but I'm not sure. The feeling of it in my ear also seems to be a bit different, as if the Medium oval tip is smaller.

On the other hand, as I said the sound is pretty good, the sorrounding feeling is absolutely there, the good bass too. Also I can't see any erased letters as I saw in other cases, and it ain't seem to get rubbed. Maybe it's just about the difference between the black pair I had and this one, which is white?

After all, I may think, who cares whether it's fake or not if I'm satisfied?.. But I can't really say that it doesn't bother me...

I recently purchased a pair of S4 and S4i each costing $21 and $38 respectively. I don't know if they're fake or genuine, the low price obviously is a red flag... But after having scoured these forums for posts about how to spot a fake i'm confused because all signs point to these being the real deal [*-)]

I own a pair of Sennheiser HD215 cans that have amazing clarity so i'm not easy to impress, but these sound pretty good to me. SQ has gotten better after a couple days of use, base not owerpowering anymore, better definition etc..

I took some pics of all the things to look for in a fake... what do you guys think???

And i was able to see a fine silver mesh inside both pairs of earphones, just couldn't photograph them [:P]

P.S. : The 'klipsch' logo did not rub off even after vigorous scratching with my nails [:D]
