Guest Webmaster Posted November 10, 2000 Share Posted November 10, 2000 This past weekend at the box office, the infamous '70s TV show made movie Charlie's Angels soared to the top of the box office earning $40.5 million, finally nudging Universal Studios' Meet the Parents out of the top spot into second earning $13.1 million. In its opening weekend, DreamWorks' The Legend of Bagger Vance earned $12 million, and Disney's Remember the Titans slipped to the fourth spot earning $7 million, followed by Artisan's Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, which earned a strong $5.3 million post-Halloween. I thought it was pretty good brainless entertainment, especially with the gratuitous *** and cleavage shots of the Angels. With Cameron and Lucy, who needs a solid plot? I thought the action sequences were also pretty fun, though they were a direct ripoff from the Matrix and MI:2.
