using up fireing speaker without Atmos?

I have my RP-140SA stanting on my RF-82 Mk1 with a mainstream 7-chanel Atmos Reciver (Onkyo TX-NR636)

 

But today I collected the old high-end 9-chanel Onkyo TX-NR3008 Reciver without Atmos support (I got it for free!)

 

now I'm thinking about what should I do? How bad? (or good?) would it be to use the RP-140SA as Front High still sitting on the RF-82's fireing upwards? (no I will not move/relocate them)

if I change to the Onkyo TX-NR3008 then I would also add two more speakers to my setup, probably more use of that than the Atmos that rarley gets used (I have only seen one Atmos movie in two years!)
