Do you have another device you can test the speakers with, such as a portable cd player, to rule out any soundcard/software problems? Send me an email if you continue to have trouble. Dont_shootme182 Posted October 18, 2002 Share Posted October 18, 2002 Try to use a 4 channel compatible device to test your speakers because I get distortion only when in 4.1 mode not in stereo. If I plug a Discman into them, they sound fine, but if I use 4 speaker mode on a computer, I get distortion. Ask a friend (I hope you atleast have some of those ) who has a 4.1 or 5.1 system that works to test your speakers on.
