Hoagie
I just purchased RC-3, RF-3 and RS-3's and ordered a KSW-12 - haven't got it yet though. But I was wondering how much difference between the Ksw12 and lf12, besides $$$$$. Purchased the system mostly for Home theatre. Love the RF-3's - my old speakers are Heresy II that I had for about 10yrs Sony DB840 receiver.
dougdrake
HUGE difference between KSW-12 and LF-10. LF-10 is/was a premium level sub, with a very high power amp. Has a very different performance curve than the KSW-12 - lower bass with less distortion at higher volumes. The KSW-12 is also a good sub, but just in a different league. LF-10's were discontinued by Klipsch due to some quality issues, but they still appear in some stores and on Ubid. I think they are running around $500-600, which is a smoking price. If you buy one, make sure it's from an authorized dealer in case you need warranty service (which you might due to the QC issues).
boa12
& some of those e-tailers are still showing the lf-12, but it was never commercially released by klipsch.
