Jedster1 Posted March 30, 2022 Share Posted March 30, 2022 I'm with ya. Heat is the enemy with both the driver and the amp on these. I have the amp in an open-back box, and so far the best alternative to the driver is a Peerless by Tymphany SDF-250F75PR01-06 10" Paper Cone Subwoofer, it having reasonably close T-S parameters. Nobody I've talked to is willing to replace the voice coil, I'm not at a high enough pay-grade to do it myself acceptably, and I'm still waiting to hear from Klipsch about a suitable replacement for the K-1073-K Driver.
