eparks Posted April 19, 2001 Share Posted April 19, 2001 I am having problems deciding which of these speakers to buy. The center and surounds will also be reference series. The price on each of these is the same so I'm trying to figure out what the pros and cons of each model are. I would think that the RF3s would have more bass, but I have a HSU VTF-2 sub so I don't know whether that's a concern. I think that my wife would prefer that I get the RB5s due to their size, but I want the model that sounds the best. Any opinions on this? decibel man Posted April 19, 2001 Share Posted April 19, 2001 It sounds like you can't loose in this situation. The RB-5's have a much better finish than the RF's. They both sound very accurate. Remeber to factor in the cost of a good set of stands if you go with the RB's. Typically what I have seen is the RF's at close to $100 less than the RB's although the MSRP is the same.
