Pros in car?

I read this being posted about year ago, and it said it would be very hard/impossible. However, wouldn't you just be able to get a transformer/converter thing for 120 volt AC power and plug the Pros into there? I mean if you can plug small refigerators and tvs into them, why not the Pros?

I've seen them advertised for around $45-$70. Anyone know if this will work?

No reason why it shouldn't work, but it may affect the sound quality - I don't know how 'clean' the power coming from an inverter is. Also most of the cheap inverters are 300 watts, the pros can pull up to 600, so you would need an inverter that can handle this much. They are a little(a lot actually) more expensive.
