Champagne taste beer budget
I recently developed a new issue with my scroll bar. I have checked for any settings I may have changed by accident and found none. Used to be, if I was in a window, say a thread here, and it was longer than my monitor can display, clicking once in the scroll bar anywhere below where I was would bring the bottom line to the top, and I could continue reading. Now, suddenly, when I click lower, it will scroll through 2 or 3 page views worth of material, unless I position the cursor just under the area that is currently shaded in the scroll bar. Anyone jnow what setting or lock I turned on or off, and how to get it back to normal? Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

dougdrake
I'll bet you're using IE v6, right? And you fairly recently downloaded a patch through automatic Windows updates, right? My IE started behaving the same way recently, and that's the only thing that I know has happened that would cause it. Wonder if you can go into the Add/Remove programs and roll back the recent updates to get rid of the problem. Prolly a setting somwhere can be tweaked, but I haven't taken the time to look. Champagne taste beer budget
Well kiss my a$$, you're right, Doug, though I never put two and two together. I'm not savvy enough to even consider trying to figure out what part of the update caused the problem, but I do appreciate that at least now I know what caused it. If you ever get yours to work right, I'd appreciate any help you could give. Im adjusting to it, but I'd really rather have it back to "normal" Thanks again. seafarer
I have read in other forums of people having the same problem you are experiencing. They too had just downloaded a updated for MS Internet Explorer. The only thing I can tell you is keep watching for another MS download that fixes their last update. Good Luck on the new update.
