pilferus Posted January 27, 2004 Share Posted January 27, 2004 Well while I am waiting for my Scott LK72 tune up at Craig's, I decided to pick up a cheap used amp to get me by, so I purchased a hk430 for 42.00 off of ebay..for a while I though I was scammed but after 3 1/2 weeks and cases filed with ebay and paypal and many un answered emails my amp actually arived today..following the initial shock of the condition of the shipping box and the poor packing I unpacked the amp...it looked ok upon examination with no rattling or pieces falling out so I set it up with my fortes.... all I can say is WOW...sounds amazing..tuned in a classic rock station and after 2 from Zep and 2 from Dire Staights and a couple from Blood Sweat and Tears I have to say I'm am in love with my Fortes and can't wait to hear them with tubes and vinyl. The HK 430 is another gem...plenty of power for the Fortes and a great sound..plenty of bass and warm rich sound...for the money this amp is definetly a bargin. can't wait to hook up a cd player to it:) Thanx for the HK430 amp suggestion..Its a winner regards dana ( as i write this, Stevie Ray Vaugh is tearin up my fortes:) Up volume beware of this ebay seller and check out the attatched link circlecityantiques kandywoods@ameritech.net www.geocities.com/scammedbykandy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
