oober
Which surround back speakers would be a good match for my klipsch quartets?
fastlane
Either more Quartets or 2 Academys(rare and expensive). Those are the "perfect matches". I use kg 2.5's and am very happy with them. I just sold my other set of quartets, just a few weeks too late. Do you have space limitations for your surrounds? That's why the kg 2.5's on stands rather than Quartets for me. What's your budget? oober
I don't want to spend alot of money. And i don't have the space either. A friend of mind says that the kbs 1.1 will work. Are the kg 2.5 expensive? Someone told me the academy center speaker matched well for my center speaker. thanks for the info!
fastlane
I don't know if "matching" is important to you, but many feel that speakers of the same family with similar drivers sound best together. The Academy center is the best match for Quartets, but they are rare and can go from $350-$700 because they are so rare. My Kg 2.5s were $75 from a pawn shop, but would ebay for about $150. As for the ksb 1.1's, I haven't heard them, so I can't comment. If your putting together a system on a budget. I would suggest the following places to search. 1. pawn shops (haggle) 2. classified ads 3. Klipsch forum 4. Ebay
