merlin968 Posted July 29, 2004 Share Posted July 29, 2004 Okay I admit it, I know nothing about computer Audio..I have Promedia V2-400, and Audigy2 ZS Platinum...I just purchased a DDTS-100 by creative and I also have a center channel speaker I would like to throw into the mix..Does anyone know the best way to hook these up..The more I read the more confused I get.. rjon17469 Posted August 11, 2004 Share Posted August 11, 2004 Well, the only way to learn is to ask. :-) I suggest putting your sound card into stereo mode. Hook up the DDTS-100 to the front channel of your sound card (you'll need a RCA to 1/8" cord, may have been included with your sound card or the DDTS-100, otherwise it's 5 bucks at radioshack). Set the DDTS-100 in 5.1 mode, hook the promedia up to the front and rear channels, hook the center up (you'll need a seperate amp for this speaker), and you're in business! Don't worry about having nothing to hook up to the subwoofer output. The sub automatically pulls it's signal from the promedia front channels.
