ant
Hi guys! I am thinking of replacing my old Sound Blaster Live! Platinum (without its LiveDrive) with a M-Audio Revolution 5.1/7.1. I know 7.1 can't be used for this 4.1 old speaker setup. I am not planning to upgrade my speakers set any time soon. I will wait until it breaks or whatever. It still kicks butt after many years. Will my old ProMedia v.2-400 be handle to take all/most of the features off this sound card? I am mainly using it for gaming, DVDs, TV shows (have an ATI Radeon 9800 AIW card -- might record but quality isn't important since I compress to DivX with low quality), and music (MP3s, CDs, music videos, streaming media, etc.). Thank you in advance.

Is it almost like buying a new speakers?
