JBHornet Posted August 2, 2001 Share Posted August 2, 2001 I a planning on buying a set of PreMedia 4.1's but need to know if they will work on my sound card. I have an Aureal Vortex AU8830 sound card that came with my 800Mhz HP Pavilion system. On the back of it, it has five jacks: Out 1, Out 2, Microphone, Line-In, MIDI. The Out 2 is controlled by the "Master" volume control and not individualy controled. If I buy the 4.1's, will I get true 4.1 sound or will I technicly get two left fronts and to right fronts? Do the 4.1's have two 1/8" mini jacks? I do not want to have to use a spliter. If it is a two chennel card I want to purchase the 2.1's. Thanks!
