colterphoto1 Posted February 7, 2005 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Got a big JBL power amp from a church that needs some repair work. Will dig it out of the pile-o-pa stuff in the garage. I've got a pile of stuff that needs some work, should get it all fixed and sold. Also have biamp xovers, 2x10 band eq's, etc. Is this for the frankenscalas? If they're truly in a barn, I'd put some 1/4" mechanics cloth over the bass bins. MICE WILL EAT YOUR WOOFERS. I've seen them gnaw through a tractor tire just to get at the cords in the tire. Super cheap. But if you had a working amp, and a decent eq available....perhaps we could do business. Amp: Stereo, 100-200 per channel, volume control, easy inputs, ugly, etc. Eq: 7-10 band. As long as it works and doesn't make noise. PS: I put plastic window screen over the throat opening. Probably should have used metal....But if they get through that and eat the woofers...that will give me an excuse to buy some new woofers designed for horn loading.
