cris.rodrigo Posted March 25, 2005 Share Posted March 25, 2005 Hello. As you can tell, I'm new to the forum. My question regards hooking up an addition sub-woofer to my new set of 2.1's. I've had a set of 5.1's for approximately 6 years. As far as my ears can tell, the sub-woofer still kicks and I would-just for the fun of it- like hook up both subs to my computer. Scp53 Posted March 25, 2005 Share Posted March 25, 2005 welcome to the forum cris.rodrigo, what are your 5.1's? do you plan to use just the old sub or the sats too? you'll need to split the mini cable right out of the sound card and then run two wires- one to the 2.1s and one to the 5.1s. the volumes would need to be controled seperately or else use the windows volume control. also, it probably be best to place both subs in the same location(trying to keep them in phase). i should also note that it be better to go to the pro media part of this board for better answers. scp53 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
