Broken speaker disassemble...

Recommended Posts

I have a RSX-5 sat that has a busted midrange woofer. It makes fuzzy sounds and cuts out entirely once in a while. The speaker was NOT purchased from an authorized dealer and I have already ordered a new one from goodguys. I would however like to take the speaker apart for fun-sakes but Im not sure how to do it. Is there a 7th Allen bolt beneath the plastic silver cap on the very top of the speaker?

If i cant get it open nicely, I'll just cut it open. The speaker is pretty much dead and its only 200 bucks, its not a big deal but any help on taking it apart correctly would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you
