All I can say is that there are some out there in beautiful condition. I've been lucky enough to locate two pairs in the past year, both have been split cabinets as well. A double stack like this is what I used to use for PA in my younger days, it was always one of my Klipsch Dreams to finally own a set of my own.

Keep shopping and stay on line here. you might also post your WTB under the 2ch forum as it gets more traffic.

Yep, "the Klipsch of my dreams" as well. I have a pair of birch LaScala's (with 1/2 grill kits in my living room right now). I own a multi system DJ company and since I started it in 1983 I always wanted a pair of these puppies. Wasn't in the budget then...is now. These would strictly be to play with, since all my sound systems now contain Mackie Powered Speakers. I'm getting to old to lift LaScala's every weekend. If you hear of any please let me know. If you have any you're willing to part with, let me know!!

Thanks!

Funny you should post that, upon reading the DJ service line, DrWho and I both said 'that guy needs Powered Mackie speakers with a JBL powered sub" So good to know that you're onto that already.

I agree that the LS would be too unwieldy to tote about all the time. Plus the low end isnt' that powerful for dance music and they stand only 3 feet tall.

But they sound really nice in the garage![;)]

Yep, Mackie SMR 450's with the 1500 or 1800 powered subs will fill damn there anything, sound fantastic, and fit in a midsize car!!! It doesn't get much better than that!! You know how it is with Klipsch though...wanted them then, gotta have 'em now. Let me know if you hear anything or if you're willing to sell.

Thanks!!
