Solid State receiver repair

I have an early 70's Pioneer receiver (Allied, made by Pioneer) with a

dead right channel. Does anyone know of any repair shops in the

St. Louis area that handle this type of equipment repair? Hate to

pitch the unit, and I'd also like to hear what it sounds like with my

RF-35s. Any inputs are appreciated.

Lo,

You might check with stores like Circuit City or such for there ideas.........

Bottom line though is: You are looking at close to 65.00 dollars a hour labor to repair, with

most electronics stores charging A Minimum charge of two (2) hours............

Guess you have to ask- how much do I really like this unit!

The sad truth is that very few of these ss products are even designed for repair.

I have a sign over my bench stating that I only look at vacuum tube equipment. And as I write this, I have a ss Fender amplifier on my bench! Rules are written to be broken.

You may find a tech who is willing to undertake your job. Just be prepared to pay several times over the value of your unit.
