Larry1
How come no one their talks about conectiong IFI to there stereo? Ya know to watch dvd and listen to the radio. Interesting topic. Because you are already dealing with a self contained audio system like a home stereo that interfaces to an iPod directly or a computer for the most part.Sure you can use the auxiliary audio port on the control dock to interface to a portable CD player, portable DVD player or other device such an small receiver. You just need to have a adapter cable from the receiver line output to the 3.5 MM minijack stereo auxiliary input on the control dock. When considering the Klipsch iFi I was studying the current market for miniature stereo or multichannel receivers that could interface to a computer and provide a decent power output for larger traditional speakers. But guess what, most of what I found was a lot more expensive then simply using a Klipsch iFi with an computer. Most of these miniature stereo receivers were in the 20 Watts RMS range, not equivalent to the 50 watts to the satellites or 100 watts to the 8" sub woofer that the iFi represents, so the Klipsch iFi was a easy decision after audio auditions.
