kkeenan
Pardon the newbie question. What should I look for if buying a pair of Klipsch Tangent 40 speakers made in '89-'90. Do they really hold up well, and how much of a life can they last ? Appreciate any advice. Kevin
DrWho
Like with any speaker, look for dry-rotting of the cone surrounds (the round rubber part will get crusty and break after a while). Check the cabinet for water damage nicks and whatever else you might think lower their value. Really, the best thing you can do is give the speakers a listen...I find that about 90% of the time that if they sound good that there is usually nothing wrong with them.
