Guest " " Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 I reviewed the belle line drawing cooked up by the forum members and noticed the concept uses the same woofer exit path as a lascala whereas the attached line drawing depicts an additional throat path before reaching the lascala type horn throat. my understanding is that the additional throat lenth in the belle was designed to add a 1/4 wavelenth to the low end of the belle. ajsons Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 That drawing is not the Belle Klipsch but a design by Peter Akemark from Sweden (he's also a forum member). You'll see a picture of him (his avatar) on page 12 of the New Belle thread pics. That extra duct is to reduce the path for a 12 inch driver down to a throat that is about 4 3/4 x 9 1/2.
