SirAdrian
A week or so I noticed that my left speaker is starting to buzz whenever any midbass is present... what is wrong with it? I can't see anything obvious wrong with the driver so I think it is damaged. The buzzing isn't very loud, but is quite annoying because I listen to them in close range. I've included two sound clips of a 127Hz tone (on each channel to show the difference). http://24.71.170.190/127Hz%20-%20Right.wav (Working Speaker) http://24.71.170.190/127Hz%20-%20Left.wav (Broken) Any idea on how to fix it? Guest BobG
It's either a bad mid/woofer or something else in the speaker vibrating. Because the enclosure is small and the crossover network fairly large, some of the wires are very close to the drivers. Open the speaker and dress the wires so they are away from the woofer. You'll need a Torx 20 driver to pull the screws and then a knife to separate the motor board from the cabinet. Sometimes the gasket is damaged when the speaker is opened so if this is under warranty you can send it to us for repair or take it back to your authorized dealer. We'd repair or replace so yours is perfect once again.
