pestes
Okay, Read every single post about the ksw fuse problems and still, I am having issues!! Please someone help me. Here's the deal, fuse blew out about 2 years after purchasing (moved houses will this affect anything? WOrked fine for 8 mos or so.) Replaced fuse with RadioShacks 250v 2 amp fast-firing fuse. Read forum after woofer blew all 5 of those and purchase slow firing fuses as recommended. Now, it has blown two of those, although this time I can actually hear the fuse blow out. The RadioShack guy suggested that I could be getting surges through that particular outlet in my house? He didnt seem to know what he was talking about as he thought my fuses and woofer belonged to a car system.....Does this surge thing hold any truth? My surge protector is not hooked up to my woofer, as it is across the room from my components. I am at the end of my rope and need some help, was pumped about my purchase until this started happeneing. Thank you!
Paul
Can you change outlets for the hook up of your sub?,I dont know how long your sub cable is to do that,But try this first,Use a outlet closest to the main powerbox, test this and tell me what happens. Also let me know how this sub is hooked up,As for surge protectors I have about 3 of the best apc bars for my main system,Two bars control my subs and one controls the gear, always run a bar on a sub ! You can use the single protectors but they do not provide enough nanosecond protection.
pestes
Thanks for your help, I appreciate the response, but I went to Best Buy and they sent it off to Klipsch. Klipsch customer sevice is awesome!! Talked to a gentleman named Todd the day before I went to BEst Buy and he told me what to do. BEst Buy was giving me resistance at first about taking it to be sent off and I was on the phone with Todd at Klipsch in literally less than 40 seconds while at Best Buy. Best Buy pulled out their policy and agreed to send off my sub. Bought the same sub to tide me over 'til mine gets back and works fine in the same outlet Thanks, and don't be affraid to take your products back to where you purchased them if they are still under warranty, Klipsch will make sure you are taken care of.
