Laverda Posted February 14, 2007 Share Posted February 14, 2007 OK, I've got these lovely RS-52s and now I need to figure out a good way to hang them from the ceiling. My theater is an odd shape (gonna be an acoustical nightmare) and hanging is the best option. Anyone have any ideas on a good mount to use? I've got a pair of 30lb rated Omni Mounts coming via UPS but I really dont have any idea if they're going to work or not. Someone must have hung RS-52s before, wadda ya all suggest? xdetroitx Posted February 14, 2007 Share Posted February 14, 2007 I asked this same question for my 42's and omni mounts were recommended by someone with the 62's which are 30lbs and they were working for him. colterphoto1 Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 The 52's and 62's have TWO 1/4"-20 threaded sockets- you must use a PLATE MOUNT that bolts to BOTH of them to support the speaker's weight. I have the 30.0 which is rated at 30 lbs. and the speaker weigh 28 lbs. and no problems. You should be good, which model do you have? If so, I think I might have found my mount for my 52s. Yes it will, I believe that all three speakers have the same bolt hole locations. The plate will sit sideways to the speaker then attach to the wall mount. If you want I can try to take a few pictures of mine RS-62's?
