mgraham112
In regards to summed speakers with dvc. The specs say 8 ohms. Does this mean that each vc is 8 ohm and can be bridged to 4 ohm or ran in series to 16 ohm?
DrWho
What particular driver are you wondering about? The reason I ask is because there are many different variations on DVC design.
mgraham112
Lets just say for example the klipsch R-2650-CSM. .
mgraham112
Are the dvc design the same for subs as it is midrange speakers?

DrWho
I would wager that each coil is 16 ohms, so you can achieve 8 ohms in parallel or 32 in series. If I remember correctly, the Klipsch commerical lines have the option of sending a stereo signal to the driver and then each coil receives the stereo signals which sums to mono...well I suppose it might make sense that each coil is 8ohms... Your best bet for a better answer would be to call klipsch: 1-800-KLIPSCH Your safest bet right now is to just wire in series and take the slight hit in sensitivity. Or better yet, you could just measure the complex impedance of the speaker []
