rcstortman
I'd like to hang a pair of RB 5 II's. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you. Richard Senker
soundog
The RB-5s are rear ported and need to have some rear "breathing room". Either a shelf with some room or suspend them from the ceiling with some space between them and the wall. Even better: trade them in for one of the reference series surrounds that are made to be wall mounted and produce a better effect. ------------------ Soundog's HT Systems
Guest BobG
I believe both Vogels and Omnimount offer brackets that form a small tray on which the speaker is placed. Allow some angle options. Check their web sites.
RossVTaylor
Richard, If you're interested, do a search of other forums in this BB for a recent thread about this very topic. For a source for the Vogel and Omnimount supports that BobG referred to, try here. You might try the Vogel VLB200's that are near the bottom of the page. With those, you wouldn't have to screw into the backs of the speakers. Ross ------------------ My System's Stuff
Guest JimG
RB-5's are not built to be supported by their back panels. You will need to find a mounting method that supports the speaker by allowing it to sit on something as Bob suggests. Running some screws into the back panel alone for suspension could result in the back panel seperating from the rest of the cabinet due to the weight of the drivers. That would be bad. Just thought I would add that note in for your safety. Jim
