jaydon123 Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 HI all, I have 2 pair of klipsch, the front pairs is RP-5 and the rear are RF-52 and i'm using the 2 old receiver for these two pairs, but my receiver keep kich it off, i think it not enough power , and i want to upgrade my receiver . can anyone give me an advise, which receiver can do the job for both pairs and which brand name good. with my litte budget under $1k. thanks anyone can help me. or can i have the model of receiver that can run both pair ,please thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest " " Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 sounds like you are running 4 speakers on a 2 channel reciever.....I would check if there is a switch to match the impedance....your speakers may be averaging out less than 4 ohms while your reciever may only handle 8 or 6 ohms. if you do not have such a switch...you might want to look into speaker selection boxes that also match impedancs.
