Using In-Wall Speakers as Rears in 5.1 System

Any experience out there using RCW-5s for rear surrounds?

I have Kg.5's right now, oriented facing in off the side walls in my room, just behind my seating position.

The room is ~13 ft x 20 ft, TV at center of short wall, listening chair ~ 13 ft back from TV.

Household peacekeeping suggests losing the black boxes hanging off the wall.

The in-wall option looks most reasonable, with the primary option to place them on the back wall behind the seating position.

Any thoughts from the crowd on:

1) how do the RCW-5s sound

2) any better options

3) what is better placement for rears, to the side or behind the listening postion.

If it matters, I have Fortes as mains, a KV-2 center, powered by Yamaha RXV-995.

thanks in advance for your help.

In one room I have inwalls in the ceiling above and to the side of my sofa. It's not perfect but good for the layout of the room. Sounds like you don't have much choice.
