peanutz
Hi there, I'm looking to buy an AV receiver for my new Quintet SL. I am considering: 1) Harman Kardon AVR255 2) Yamaha RX-V663 3) Onkyo TX-SR606. What do you think of these three? Which one is the best choice? Their prices are pretty similar. Klipsch87
All I can do is put my vote in for the Harman/Kardon. I recently purchased the Quintet III System with the 10" Sub, they didn't have the Yamaha (RX-V463) Receiver in stock, so after some talking, they let me have the AVR154 for $50.00 more, I did like the looks of the Harman/Kardon but was skeptical of the power output compared to the Yamaha, after some reassurance from the sales associate that the quintets wouldn't need the big power to sound good, I purchased the system along with a new TV to replace my "Veteran" Standard Def. Tube TV. I went home and set the system up, I must say the AVR154 was quite easy to set up, looks fantastic whether its On or Off, and the sound is incredible! I would imagine that you couldn't go wrong with the Harman/Kardon AVR255
