Ok, so I knew my RSW-12 was a great sub but I had no idea it drew so much current. I purchased a Panamax 5300 power conditioner/surge protector hoping for lilttle peace of mind. I was watching the pod races on Star Wars and there was a section where the sub really hit and the Panamax shut down my system. Seems undervoltage conditions can be just as damaging as voltage spites. While the Panamax did do it's job I am dismayed that I can't crank the Elite VSX-47TX past -6. Maybe it's just that one DVD but I was wondering if anybody else had experienced the same problem. My house is 3 years old and the wiring shows no faults. When the sub really pounds one out the lights flicker (if they are on) and the voltage needle really starts dancing. About all I can think to do is get that hi $ Monster Power unit or have an electrician run power directly from the fuse box. Maybe all I really need is a voltage regulator with some capacitors to store the electricity for immediate access. The speakers are the RF-25's with matching center and surrounds. Surely Radio Shack can bail me out!!!!! Anyway, the Home Theater store is checking into it for me and said they would take care of me. Anybody have any ideas/input? I have searched various strings but no mention of this problem.
Thanks
