  1. I just bought a pair pf the RCr-5. I mainly listen to movies through my speakers. How do these speakers sound? Thanks for the help.
  2. Big Mike I got my speakers from speaker exchange on Hillsborough Ave. The Klipsch regional sales guy told me that they were an authorized dealer. They gave me by far the lowest price I had seen. The number over there is (813)237-4800, ask for Glen and tell him that Russell Hammond referred you. He might give you the same pricing that I got. Good luck.
  3. My bad about that signature.
  4. Yeah right about the signature, I think I will keep that for a while as I try and pay it off. It works really well and I no longer worry about having electronics getting fried, considering I live in Tampa, Fl(lightning capital of the world)

    Toshiba Deal

Hey if any of you have last years Toshiba 50HX82 HDTV. I have found that Toshiba is willing to trade it out for the 51HX83(this years model) for 400 dollars delivered to your front door. The reason for this is that last years model does not have the dvi input and the new model does.
  6. Just put the deposit down on the RF7, RC7, RSW15 and the RCR5. I am stoked and cannot wait unitl I get them in the new place, in the middle of March.
  7. My HK 525, when running cable through it will switch over to logic 7. Do you have it set correctly in the setup menu under each input?
  8. I am selling my infinity speakers to upgrade to the Reference 7 level for the new condo. Wanted to know if anyone knew of anybody interested in buying two Entra 3 Black towers, an Entra 2 Back center channel and an Interlude IL120 500W sub, just bought three months ago.
  9. Directv and yes I would like Tivo but not required. I was wondering about the high end sony.
  10. I wanted to know what the best HDTV satellite receiver was thanks?
  11. Leslie, awesome setup. I was wondering how the RCR-5 sound, I am thinking about purchasing some as my rear surrounds for a 5.1
  12. I have attached a floorplan of the condo. I am placing the couch on the wall along the masterbedroom. I really do not think I will able to pull the couch off the wall at all, I wish I could. You know who the boss, probably will not let me. The idea of the sales guy as well as Klipsch tech support was to put the RCR-5 in ceiling speakers of to the sides of the couch and angle the tweeter and the middle of the couch. I know surround effects really do not have much punch anyway, but I just wanted to make sure that it would still sound decent. This is only a temporary/investment place anyway and soon I hope to have a home theater setup similar to Moon(props to your place Moon). I also do not mind leaving the speakers behind, small purchase anyway at around 6-800.
  13. I am currently moving into a newly built condo. I have a dilemma in that I really want to setup a kick but surround sound system. I have a wall that is 14' away from the tv, but only one side wall. The couch is going to have to go right up against the wall. My problem is that the dealers are all recommending going withthe RCR-5 in the ceiling to either side of the main listening position as rear surrounds. Will this sound good? I orignally wanted the RS7 but they said since the couch is in on the back wall, they think the sound will pass by the listening position. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The front of the theater will have RF7, RC7 and RSW15.
  14. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant that it was the same screen ratio, that is really not what impressed me about the movie. It was the audio that blew me away, I saw the movie in a normal stadium seating theater and the IMAX blew this one away in sound. The scenes where there is the beating when looking at the ring, almost made my heart skip a beat. Once again sorry for the confusion.
  15. I just saw LOTR3 on the IMAX and all I can say is wow!!!!! For all of you sub lovers, IMAX knows how to play a movi in surround sound. I definitely recommend everyone seeing this movie on the IMAX.
  16. Sorry Alvin's email address is alvin.klement@klipsch.com

    Speaker Help

Thanks everyone for the advice. I guess for the time being I might just buy all of the speakers and then if it sounds bad wait until I have a bigger room for the rear center RC7. I just hope the RS7 will sound good. From what I have read everyone says that it does not matter where they are positioned. Thanks for the pictures they helped out too.

    Speaker Help

I want to setup a 6.1 system in my condo. The room dimensions are 14X17, I will be putting the couch all the way against the wall(14' side). I wanted to get two RS7 to place on either side of the couch mounted to the wall. I am asking if I should get a center channel for in between the two RS7. I was thinking about getting the RC7 and placing it on a shelf directly behind teh couch at the same height as the RS7. Will this sound good, or should I forget about trying to do the 6.1 setup? Thanks for the help.
  22. I am thinking about setting up a 7.1 system in my new condo, and I wanted to know about speaker placement and types of speakers I should use. I am thinking about using two RS-7 as my rears and two RCR-5(ceiling mounted) as my side surrounds. Will this give me a good sound stage for movies? I am mainly going to watch movies on the system. Thanks

    Heat Issue

My audio component cabinet gets extremely hot, mainly from the receiver. I would like to purchase some sort of cooling fan to be placed above the receiver and either blow down inside of the unit or pull heat away from the unit. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  24. Now that Klipsch has dropped Sound Advice, I was wondering if there was any talk of picking up another large electronic chain to deal in the reference line? Thanks for the help, I am interested in making a large purchase in the near future.
  25. Nope, gonna live on the second floor, and make the neighbors think there is a constant earthquake. Luckily the condo builders are putting in something new in the flooring, they are putting in an extra thick cork layer to hopefully cut down on the sound transfer. Although I do not think this will help to much.
