  1. "I think he's a poseur." I sense an overusage of word on your part, Paul. I am not taking side nor do I have any idol. I just happen to share some of Kelly's viewpoints regarding audio.
  2. Paul, are you in a feud with Kelly?
  3. "What did you drink at that party?" Vodka, perhaps?
  4. "I love your signature: RF7?????, Moondogs?????, P25????????." .
  5. "Maybe Neo would buy *all* your stuff?" Maybe not. I just want three pieces from Kelly: Cary Audio SLP-70 preamp, Welborne 2A3 Moondog monoblocks and Linn Sondek LP-12 turntable. The wheather is quite gloomy out here in the bay, too.
  6. "4. Dean actually opened this ad" LOL. To get back on topic (of this ad ), my understanding is that never leave a tube amp running without a load (i.e. attached to speakers) even with low-power SET amps.
  7. My AE-1 is not for sale anytime soon, unless Kelly is going to sell me his SLP-70 .
  8. "Have you and Kelly worked anything out yet? Want me to go down there and steal them for you?" Dean, I think I am gonna take up your offer on this .
  9. "I do have the Moondogs in stereo!" Yeah, but your DRDs are in mono! And you haven't answer my question. Edit: Kevin, I misread your post. You have the 45 DRDs not the 2A3s. Still, you have not listen to the 2A3 DRDs so how do you know that I will not be disappointed?
  10. "Go for the Welborne DRD2A3s - you won't be disappointed." How can you be sure since you're still listening in mono. As a side note, I would have much prefer MagneQuest trannies over Electra-Print. Though, it seems to me the DRDs circuits are cleaner (fewer parts and less wiring) then the Moondogs. "BTW - It's not hard to Kick Carys butt." Which mean I can kick Deano's butt .
  11. There's an auction on eBay for these lesser known Sun Audio 2A3 SET Monoblocks. The seller claimed that they kick Cary's butt and their sound are more open then most conventional 2A3 amps. I did a search on the Sun Audio website and could not find any info on them. Anyone knows anything about them?
  12. "Its YELLOW BUTTON time folks." My "YELLOW BUTTON" is stuck .
  13. The X-LPS is listed on Audigon for $150. Is this a good phono stage? Comment?
  14. I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about as English is not my second language.
  15. "Absolute zero would be the stoping of all motion of all atoms." Can you prove that?
  16. Another day comes. Another day goes. Oh, where is my Moondogs? My soul is agonizing.
  17. "dr. charletta's english sure improved from one post to another...I think that the low temperatures and radiation is really working, linguistically at least." LOL. Maybe I should go into cryogenic so I can improve my German . Although I do believe the "Dr." is really one of the Martians since they can speak any language in just a matter of days . BTW, please excuse my English.
  18. "My first name is Manfred, and my wifes name is Charletta. The work I was involved in at Telefunken was from 1968 to 1973, I am not a physicist (I didn't claim to be one), but an electrical engineer who worked with a team of scientists doing the research" I did a search for the name Manfred (unless I am being "very naive" again for believing that is his real first name) and found no one with that name who is an electrical engineer that worked for Telefunken in that period. "I stated we worked at temperatures "that approached absolute zero". Please don't be so literal (some of you sound like my wife!). Believe me we worked at very low temperatures, but didn't try for "a millionth of a degree" from -273 C..." So now the "fake Dr." is changing his position first he stated "In response to the questions; yes, it is absolute zero." Now he said "approached absolute zero" because he "goofed"? Or perhaps, he realized that people here are too smart for him and he has to make up other stories. Please excuse my English.
  19. The coldest place in the universe is...Brighton, south of London , but still not absolute zero.
  20. "Neo, you're a trip." I am the One, Dean-o .
  21. Life ceases to exist at absolute zero (0 Kelvin). No "red tubes" for you! .
  22. Quote from the above article: "Unfortunately we are unable to reach absolute zero itself. It is forbidden by the third law of thermodynamics. In practice, though, it is often the heat input from the outside world (or "heat leak") into an experiment which prevents further cooling. In the low temperature limit, all heat capacities C go to zero so that for a heat energy input Q the temperature rise dT = Q/C becomes increasingly large. Even absorbed cosmic rays can produce a significant heat leak." Sounds to me "Dr Manfred Charletta" is a hoax when he made the claim "yes, it is absolute zero, impossible to achieve, but we approached it." If what he said is true and the technology is so secretive, why would he expose it here on this board? Beside, any well known scientist in the Quantum Physics and Thermodynamics communities are easily recognizable. I Tried looking up his name and work in the library this morning and did a search with every major online search engines but to no avail.
  23. Dean, I got thing under control for now. But I may take your offer later on .
  24. "Dean, Have pitty on a tubeless Khorn owner.... Please!" Hey Jeff, I'll pay you $450 for the Eico HF-81 .
