Let's talk. ---------------- Gullahisland: Does this mean what it sounds like, that you would take $2500 for them? ---------------- Last weekend, if Pirahna came to my house and picked them up, I would have considered doing exactly that. He contacted me privately, but decided not to take me up on it. I've got a LOT of people inquiring about them - including "thethirdleg", but my $2,750 cash price is truly for a local buyer who comes and picks them up BEFORE the bidding exceeds my offer. "thethirdleg" resides in Singapore. As of yet, no LOCAL buyer has taken me up on it. I thought that I'd made it clear to thethirdleg that distant buyers will need to place their bid and arrange for packaging and shipping them if they win. The bidding will almost CERTAINLY exceed $3,000 but I'd really rather just keep things simple. Coordinating the logistics of having a buyers' agent come to my house, etc. is just not what I'd like to spend my time doing. By the same token, if I have to do such coordination, then I'd just as soon let the auction run on Ebay and sell them to the high bidder. Finally, I would be happy to deliver them to someone in Northern California for $100 (the approximate cost of fuel for my Suburban). Questions, comments, please feel free. ---------------- Dan, Actually there' s no hassle at all. It would be as if a local buyer is coming to your house to pick them up. In my case, you can consider my agent a local buyer, because he is also a resident in your vicinity. He will just need to make one phone call, come to your house, pay you the money, pick up the pair of Klipschorns and leave your house ............ no packaging & shipping involved on your part. So I don' t see you being involved in any co-ordination work at all ........ except maybe to answer that phone call to arrange a suitable date & time for him to come over for the collection ...... as simple as that !! thethirdleg
  3. Dan, I' m still waiting for your green light to firm up the deal & start preparing the logistics for collecting the Rosewood Klipschorns. Please let me know. thethirdleg

Thanks, Dan ---------------- Dan, you 've got PM I' ve already diverted my earlier reply to you, into your klipsch forum mailbox. please let me know as soon as possible before you leave for your Business trip Rgds, David

Just checking to see if you're still interested. thanks! ---------------- Dan, I just replied. Hope you will honour what you said earlier regarding giving forum members the priority for either pair of your Klipschorns. Please let me know the options. Rgds, david
  6. I wrote you earlier asking for your Area Zip Code through e-Bay auction web page under the pen name of mahaparakit. Well, considering you are letting go either the Birch or Rosewood pair, I might want to consider the Birch if you are agreeable. Please let me know so that I can start making the arrangements.
  7. Looks like " Big Busa " has really grown up and matured considerably ! Like they used to say .... " It's the Singer and not the Song " CHEERS !!!!
  8. Hi Rick, Thanks for the response. Yes, I fully agree with you, getting a middle man to help is another way but the problem is it's like looking for a needle in a haystack when you are not local. Can you recommend some moving companies in the States who will do the job Meanwhile, I will continue to keep searching. Thanks!
  9. Hi Audio Flynn, It looks like near impossible if not easy. I am prepared to do all the things you have listed. The link to an Audiogon seller you indicated ..... is Luism/Dr. Bieber ..... he was one of the few who turn me down by deciding that it was not viable even though I was prepared to give him his reserved asking price. I guess I have to listen to some other speakers for the time being ..... unless a miracle happens !
  10. Hi Colin, As far as I know, K-Horns are a rarity over here. Most people prefer the Altec and JBL sound over the Klipsch. I think there are only approx four proud owners of the Klipschorns in Singapore.
  11. Hi all, I am shopping around for a pair of vintage alnicos Klipschorns, preferably 1980s - 1982s. Talk to a few people/establishments in the States who have them, but all decline to deal when they heard the buyer is from overseas South East Asia. Perhaps some kind soul here might be able to help. Best regards, thethirdleg
  12. HDBRbuilder, Looks like you do have the plans as well as the assembly techniques & hints. I will be over the moon if you could spare me a set.
