Hi all. I have an opportunity to purchase a set of Dahlquist DQ-20i's for $200.00. I really don't know anything about these speakers and I was unable to find any info on the net. My uncle bought them new a long time ago and his new wife says they must go because they're too big. The speakers sound good and look to be in good condition but like I said, I don't know anything about them so I don't know what to look for.
I currently own a set of SF-2's and SC-1 connected to a Yammy 5660. My uncle says they will need more power so if I opt to buy them I don't know what kind of amp to get. After reading my manual I figured I would need a 2 ch amp and connect it to the main outs of my receiver so it only drives the main speakers. Is this correct?
If I use these as the main speakers and move the SF-2's to the rear will it be a lost cause per say? I know these aren't matching speakers so I'm skeptical because I don't know what I would be getting myself into too.
Any information, help or advise would be appreciated. I have to let him know something this week.
Thanks!!
