I'm saving up for the Jolida tube amp to go with my Rf3II speakers. I currently have a rotel rx1050 receiver which has good sound and good bass but the Rotel is also bright and when combined with my rf3II speakers female vocals, especially soprano's can be overly bright and fatiguing.

This policy might explain why I can't find a retailer with a pair of LaScalas, or Klipschorns, to audition within a two hour drive of my house in densely populated Upstate NY! I live in Southeast Wi and apparently no Klipsch dealer in the milwaukee to Chicago area has any of the heritage line to demo. I would have to drive about 4 hours aech way to either Minn or Indians to hear Klipschorns.

I ought the Rf3 II a few years ago and they cost me 850.00.I like them a lot and was planning to get a Jolida tube amp,the 304 to improve my sound(tube amps sound great) and hook up my Rotel in a separate room.I've had people over who listened to my speakers and were quite impressed the RF 35 is supposed to be the modernized version of the Rf3II and I was just wondering if I could recommend them as sounding close.

Are the older RF3II's better sounding or are the RF35 speakers better sounding?

I had heard a pair about 20 yrs ago under less than ideal conditions. Recently I heard some avantgarde uno's which had a dynamic liflike presence to them but they are too expensive for me.They have made me become unsatisfied with my rf3 II's(which I do like)I had heard that klipschorns can give a you are there presentation to the music. No one around here who can sell them actually has any that can be listened to. Any ideas?

And al-quaida wasn't aided by iraq it was aided by by the Saudi's, Iran, and the U.S. when we supplied weapons to the taliban during the anti -soviet afghan war of the 70's. Too many politicians want other peoples kids to risk their life so that they can make money.

I have had rf3-II's for about two years now, and I like their sound a lot. I replaced my older Technics 80 wpc stereo receiver with the Rotel rx1050 receiver. With the Rotel,I got all kinds of bass out of my speakers that I had been missing with the Technics receiver. A different receiver/amplifier could make a large difference in the quality of the sound.
